Sidney Riley, a Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter, is passionate about creating music for diverse audiences. He has two exciting upcoming releases: an a cappella project titled “Sidney Riley Presents: Sidney Bizarre: Overdressed & Underqualified,” entirely written, produced, and performed under his alias ‘Sidney Bizarre,’ and a new band called “SILVERADOS,” which he formed with LA producer Lucas Villemur. Both projects promise fresh music, with release dates to be announced.
Sidney’s future plans also include his work on the theme song for the upcoming TV series “Keep Em Up,” a drama blending elements of “Rocky” and “Cheers.” The song, also titled “Keep Em Up,” is now available for streaming and download, with the series set to debut on Amazon Prime later this year. He has written dozens of songs for television and other licensing opportunities.
Originally from Washington, D.C., Sidney's love for the arts began at age 9 when he learned to play the piano. His passion for music deepened as a cast member on the British children’s TV show *Children’s Choice*. In high school, Sidney formed an a cappella group, wrote original music, and performed at The Kennedy Center Honors, where Quincy Jones was the honoree. Shortly after, Sidney faced a life-threatening battle with Meningoencephalitis, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Defying the odds, he made a remarkable recovery. Sidney credits music for playing a crucial role in his recovery, motivating him through difficult times and giving him a sense of purpose. After high school, he fully recovered and moved to New York City to continue to pursue his passion.
Today, Sidney continues to write and co-write for other artists across various genres, guided by his passion and love for music. To learn more about Sidney Riley, visit www.iamsidneyriley.com and follow him on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok at @iamsidneyriley.
